This is the branding used by Yusuke Kawakami. He is originally from Japan where he learned the art of luthiery first from his father, Hideho Kawakami, then he spent a year working at Larrivee Guitars in Canada in 1999. Returning from Canada in 2000 he started working for, or with, his father making Ukuleles under the branding Majesty. In 2002 he moved out from Japan to Vancouver BC. and started his own company making Ukuleles and Guitars, this time called High River Guitars, (though he made at least one Ukulele in Canada he still branded Majesty).

With Majesty he made Soprano, Concert and Tenor Ukuleles in a number of styles but the High River Ukuleles are all a small (41½ cm) Tenor scale with a body shape that is based on the Martin Dreadnought Guitar and come in mahogany, koa or spruce top, (mahogany or koa). Though he is based in Canada now, it seems most of his Ukulele output still goes to Japan.
