This is the company name in small letters on Down South and Handel branded Banjoleles, (they were also the company that imported Carlo Ricordo Ukuleles from Italy), and I can't help thinking it has something to do with J. Thibouville-Lamy & Co. (Jetel) but I've got no proof? I have also heard that it was based somewhere in Sussex, England and if this was the case it would probably count against the Thibouville-Lamy connection as their English office was in London.
The Banjo instruments were made by George Houghton & Sons then re-branded |
