Rose Lucas "the Hobbit" Soprano
In being on the look out for nice Ukuleles I see the work of a number of full and part time luthiers. The instruments they make look very nice and worthy of note.

Adrian Lucas - A J Lucas Guitars

From Lincoln, UK. He originally studied architecture in the 70's but in 1990 he took and evening class in luthiery. He mainly makes classical Guitars and he teaches Guitar making too. He has even contributed to a book on the subject. As well as Guitars he does make other instruments too, some of which are Ukuleles. I believe he is the father of Rose Lucas-Bewick

Eric Beharrill

From East Yorkshire, he makes a wide variety of instruments including Ukuleles and Banjoleles, (especially Banjoleles). I have read of his output described as coming from the Beharrill Brothers but I've never seen anything actually marked as such, or seen any information about his brother? For a while he put a B on the headstock of the instruments he made but this does not seem to be the case any more.

Rose Lucas-Bewick

Based in Lincoln, UK and starting in 2011 she is an artist and woodworker who has a sideline in chordophone repair. I believe she is the daughter of Adrian Lucas and she has made a few instruments of her own now, including Ukuleles. She says she takes commissions but so far I've had no reply when asking for more information?
