Kaimana Sato Toda Guitars Tenor Ukulele

In being on the look out for nice Ukuleles I come across a few small, possibly part time luthiers from Japan who's Ukuleles I usually only see advertised for sale in music shops, and if they have any web presence it is in a language that is difficult for me to translate. Very often there is little information on them beyond a name and sometimes a brand name, however the instruments they make look very well made and worthy of note.

Toda Matsugi Guitars

He is a Japanese luthier from Maibara, Shiga Prefecture Japan in production from before 2007. He makes a number of instruments including Soprano, Concert and Tenor Ukuleles but I can't find a website for him, (however he seems to sell through Dolphin Guitars). The range he calls "Alien" seems very popular and I have seen a number of them, Guitars and Tenor Ukuleles with this body shape. He puts a stialised TD on as his headstock logo

I believe he is, (or was in 2007), Toda Matsugi's apprentice the Ukulele pictured was produced under the Toda Guitars branding but with his name on as the actual maker. As ever I have issues with translation and can also find nothing on him since 2007?

Yasuhiro Takeshita - Blue Strings

The workshop was founded in 2008 and has been based in Hamamatsu since 2012 but he started out in luthiery in 2004 working for T's Guitars. He makes acoustic and electric Guitars Plus Soprano, Concert and Tenor Ukuleles. As well as acoustic Ukuleles the catalogue also includes nylon strung solid body electric Concerts and Tenors. Predominantly he builds standard models on spec but he does take commissions too.
