Akerworks Akerworks is a family firm based in Knoxville, Tennessee, also called Akertoys specialising in novelty items, toys and other wooden items. They have in their catalogue a 485mm (19.1 in) scale nylon strung Baritone that they produce either with or without a pickup. It is made from reclaimed beech wood and the design has been refined in its lifespan to feature a canted headstock and geared tuners
