Christophe Grellier Soprano
In being on the look out for nice Ukuleles I see the work of a number of full and part time luthiers. The instruments they make look very nice and worthy of note.

Christophe Grellier - Grellier Guitars

Based in Chéméré, France and starting in 2000 he predominantly makes all types of steel strung Guitars and is especially noted for his archtop models. As well as Guitars though he has made Soprano Ukuleles and I have read that he has made Mandolins too

Dominique Chevalier

A former music teacher and Piano repairer, he left these jobs to study Guitar making and after 3 years study, set up his own workshop in Caveirac, France in 1998 making flamenco and folk Guitars. In 1999 he started making Ukuleles as well, in all scales from Soprano through to Baritone. Over the years he has made all sorts of other instrument as well including Taropatches and has added a Selmeresque Soprano he calls the "Ukaferri" and a soprano with a vintage look he calls the "Santos". He says he has made Sopraninos but I've not seen any and though he builds mainly on spec he does take commissions.

Mark Bailey - Bailey Guitars

Mark Bailey is a luthier from Coventry UK. He started working for Eggle Guitars in 1993 and started his own company in 1998 making electric Guitars. He started making Acoustic Guitars in 2003 and added Ukuleles to the range in about 2010. In addition to making instruments he teaches luthiery and makes electricity generating windmills, (which he uses to power his workshop so is products are very ethically sourced.) He makes Ukuleles in all scales from Sopranino through to Baritone
